Doesn't really seem like a machine, movements are too fluid. Thus making it look like it is a living thing.
Nice too see someone do it though. Other than my previous criticisms, I like it alot

This has been around for a while actually :). But it's a nice nugget though.

gotta disagree with the movement being too fluid. This is exactly how I imagined dreadnoughts would move, as it seems silly that anything less sophisticated and articulate would be considered a useful warmachine over the course of a few thousand years.

i thought that the Dreadnought was controlled by the inhabitants thoughts anyway, so the hull became an extention of the body. in which case, it would walk amost the same way as a person. and the reaction to getting hit by that missile was dead on if thats how it works.

Everything is an ork weapon eventually.

Jayne is correct.

There's no rule in any rulebook saying that you can't do it.  But there's also no rule in print saying that I can't hire an industrial woodchipper and feed your models into it if you do so.

You guys rock. Thanks for the comments.

What army do you think has the coolest mechs?

My vote is Tau but thats only because I like fast mechs. Although second vote ties withChaos for their psychotic four legged death machine and Eldar.

Eldar Wave Serpents win the vehicles
Tau Suits win for non-vehicles.

Tau have the coolest looking skimmers, with the Eldar a very close second. Chaos has the best walker vehicles since the Soul Grinder wins by several miles! For anime-mecha-looking-things, once again, it's really close between the Tau and the Eldar. I think the Eldar have a slight edge in sheer appearance, but the Tau are a little more anime because of their mobility. At the high end Eldar have it, hands down, with their Wraithlord Titan or whatever it is. Imperium and Chaos also get some nice Titan walkers, but the Tau have to make do with flyers that can kill them!
Cured of what I'm suffering from, but suffering from the cure.

Yaknow, i used to think that too, but...the modest design of the hammerheads and pirahnas have grown on me since i've adopted this more mature paint scheme.

But, of course for the none vehicles they look frickin' amazing. I just hope they update the XV8's in the next codex to make them look a bit less doofy in the torso. Course the stealth suits are freakin gorgeous.

Agreed on the Skimmers. Chaos Soul Grinders are sweet but its difficult to respect the design because its gratuitously vicious. I love the Tau style because its modest.

Heres the thing though, I feel that its a bit unfair to call Tau and Eldar anime (i'm getting a little sick of people talking smack about Tau because they don't know what they are talking about).  I gotta admit though that i love Mecha and sure the Tau have some similarities but I think people think the Tau are anime because they aren't WTFGRIMDARK enough compared to the other races. I don't know what kind of mecha they watch but theres a big difference between this...

and this.

Plus Tau are totally space communists which totally rocks.

Now, the Eldar Titan is cute and all but check out the Tau Titan. Sure its a custom design but I think this is EXTREMELY faithful to the tau design.

Lol why not let Circus see that? Sorry i'm new on the forums.

I think that thing sold for like 250 bucks on ebay. I must say that that may just be the coolest warhammer model that i've ever seen.

Circus is very firmly in the corner that Tau Titans are a "BAD IDEA!"

fluff wise they don't exist. but alot of the ones that are scratch built are very cool. like this one.

PSH i don't care what he thinks. After all the main reason people play Warhammer 40k is to have fun right? I DARE him to say a giant robot in a apocalypse game is not fun.

He'll say it.

He'll be wrong, but he'll say it.

There is nothing more cool than giant mecha stomping around the battlefield.

the imperium get them, we shud too. but we get the AX-1-0, which in its own way, is much cooler.

I really couldnt say tau are anime like.

They remind me to much of Mech Warrior, only more advanced.

Nice pic of Sazabi though.

How the hell are you using the over 9000 meme but you don't know what a scouter is!!

You need to be educated!

Watch the origin of the over 9000 joke.
