For bent parts just use your hands or some needle nose pliers and bend 'em back.

Also I would advise focusing on one army to start with, probably Menoth as they are more beginner friendly.

I am not very keen of bending the part back myself as i have had a part break off in the past when I tried bending it back into shape.

Here is the parts which I found the bended hilt.

looking at the picture below, it is bent to a very extreme angle which is why I am hesitant in trying to rectifying it myself. I might write to the company and see what they say about it...

Also I noticed that these were packed and there is a small slip saying who has packed it. Makes me wonder why they didnt notice this and still included this in the pack...

meh. 2 seconds with a vice or clippers or a bit of strength will sort that out. Its as far from "an issue" as you can get, if we're being honest about it.

btw, the bits you bought are from 3 separate factions (cyngar, menoth and retribution). Might i suggest focusing on 1 while starting?

Just going to point out the line both you and Unholy missed:

Although I am not going to use them to play, I found the models very detailed and decided to have a go at painting them.

So I don't think that concerns him at this moment in time. :P

What I'm going to say is, if you'd got that on a finecast model you'd have had 15 replies telling you how terrible it is and how you should take it back immediately to show their quality control whats what. I would say ring up and see what they recommend. If they will send you a replacement then thats all good, if they say just bend it back then thats not too bad either.

Speaking of finecast models, I bought the SM Marenus Calgar & Honor Guards thinking it looks nice and should have a go at painting it. After opening it, I was pretty unhappy with the trapped air bubbles in the cast and some swords were out of shape and missing a hilt due to said bubbles.

I had to go down to GW to get the parts changed about 3 times over the week as I only notice some other parts require replacement only when I was cutting and clearing them down readying them for priming. Even now I notice some parts are still not perfect but I am letting those pass as I am not keen on going down to GW again.

I think their QC should have a look at improving how they cast these and maybe just use a bit of common sense to weed out the bad parts.

I have emailed Triple Helix (whom I bought them from) with the picture as well as asking them if they would like to replace it or prefer me to bend it back and if it breaks when it is bent back, would they send me a replacement. Waiting to hear back from them :)
