I'm just wondering when 4Th ed. Tau come out will we have psychic abilities? Or will it come later or not at all?

Not at all. The Tau have a miniscule presence in the warp. Not nearly enough to train as psykers. No the Tau do not have and really never should have psykers.

Tau will only have psycer powers when WG goes completely insane. If it does happen, i will write a nasty letter and completly ignore it.

Yeah that's what I thought. Maybe when Tau have gotten a lot older like in a 40k thousand years or more or maybe I'm just trying to live an unlivable dream.
All in all it was worth a try.

Tau are so blank I doubt they get "hunches" or "Deja-vu", never mind full blown psychic powers.

Don't kroot have psikers? I would just be happy to see tau have some unit with psiker abilities whether it be Tau, Kroot or any other auxilary race under Tau "control".

Something i read to do with the kroot said about the crests on there heads and was hinting to rare psyker powers abilities.

read fire warrior. there is a very good description.

its like "enlightenment" to a tau when he is simply in an etherials presence. Like a "song" that instills a sense of pure peace and tranquility.

Nicassar are a psychic race, but physically extremely weak.  Thus they are unsuited for ground combat, even if you could train them to use their powers for offense rather then travel.

Kroot have a few minor psykers.  Master Shapers from the Mercenaries list can take minor powers.

I'm not too bothered about psycic powers as such but something to stop my army being booed off the table simply because the marine player passed a LD test on LD 10 would be nice.

It's bad now, it'll be even worse when the Eldar get re-done.

While Tau have a disadvantage with having no psykers or anti-psykers, they have the advantage of weaponry.  This more then balances it out.

I agree that Space Marine Librarians with Fear of the Darkness are pure evil though.  Rather too over-powered for their points.  Personally I think it needs tweeking, like using a similar method to the Eldar's Mind War: Ld + D6 for both the Librarian and targetted unit/s.

It doesn't balance out jack when they can get drop ods for less than the price of a Rhino, or when the mission is take and hold.

And i play Mech!  Stealth suits, XV8s i.e. all our special death dealers just get boo!ed to cr*p 

"Stealthfield? jetpack? HQ unit taking advantage of IC status? no worries for me, i've got this power that fires through terrain, doesn't need a to hit roll doesn't nee LOS or a stealth check!"
