"Agreed. At least two should stay, one with heavy weaponry and explosives to assist in taking out the guns, and one with advanced combat skills if there is an ambush and things get close and personal. Any volunteers?"

"I say clear the gun batteries first. Once we have the situation relatively under control there, we split up. Severus would stay and work on disabling the guns along with any others with heavy weaponry and explosives. The rest can head to the bay and wait until just before the first of the Thunderhawks arrive with reinforcements. We then assault the orks there and draw their attention so our brothers can more safely land. I've calculated that our chances of full success is 32.3, repeating of course, percent. Which is better than usual. Of course we can always adjust the plan as needed. How close are the reinforcements to arriving?"

Disappointed he hadn't gotten into the fray, Connolly sheathed his blade and surveyed the ork writings on the wall. It appeared to show that starboard was the origin of these orks. "Lets head towards the source" he said, checking his bolt pistol momentarily. "Either we will find more of them, or whatever it is that they are running from. Either way we need to eliminate it.'

Marcus shook his head as Kraytor and Rhed fought. Typical hot shots, he thought, letting all that blood go to their heads. He was glad Kahlan had said something though, he was not in the mood for breaking up a fight, and though he had no lack of confidence in his own ability, he was unsure what the best method of subduing Kraytor was at the moment. He turned to Kraytor to address his question. "The Cryomancer you are looking for was a mercenary, though we are not quite sure whom she was working for. She was accompanied by a small group of mercenary soldiers as well, when we encountered her they had disabled an oil rig, though I am unsure why."
"Before we go further, perhaps introductions are in order. You obviously know Rhed and Oan already. Next to Oan is Xan, a recent addition to our party, he is a healer, and carries with him a tree. I know, confuses me as well. That is Tybalt, a skilled Runesmith, who hails from this city. Next to him is Emily, a seer who we met at our start, and again outside of Darrow. Next is Zothern, a former town guard, and Atlas, a dwarf warrior who joined on our way to Cyven. Next to me is Kahlan, the daughter of Galithir who was of our Original party, who joined us in Darrow. She is an expert healer, and knife fighter. And I am Marcus, a humble warrior."

Returning his bolter, Brother Connolly drew his power sword and bolt pistol. Giving the blade a few quick twirls he moved behind brother Isaac and prepared to move out.

Brother Connolly shook himself a couple times to get the affects from the warp jump out. He was still getting used to it, having never used it while with the Black Knights. He could smell Ork, but it was stale, they were alone for now. He sheathed his sword and slung his storm shield over his back, looking around at his Battle Brothers. "Brother Severus, anything of use on the auspex reading?" He asked, bolter now drawn out.

True. Thats not really my style though, I am going for skilled swordsman not a skull basher. Thats why I have a storm shield instead of a boarding shield. A little easier to manage when fighting.

I would be lowering my shield, and zooming horizontally. So, I sort of become a human-rocket-battering ram.

Yeah that wouldn't work. I have no idea what else to use, since a belt feed wouldn't help much and I'm not planning on doing any healing. Thoughts?

Updated mine. Wargamer, can I have a jump pack? Might not be super useful, but I can't think of any other hardpoints I really want.

Name: Brother James Connolly

Chapter: Black Knights

Specialty: Close Combat

Background: A skilled fighter at close quarters, Brother Connolly has trained for decades to become a master with the blade. Hailing from the Black Knights home world of Chbal, a feudal world ruled by rival kingdoms, he was born into a noble family, and began his training with a sword at the age of 9. At 20, he was recruited by the Black Knights, as many of the best young Noblemen were. He quickly made a name for himself as one of the best duelers found within the ranks of the chapter.

Connolly made a name for himself as a neophyte scout when he successfully defeated a traitor marine sergeant in a duel with only his combat knife. His superiors took notice, and moved him to an assault squad, where he would often lead the charge into battle for Black Knight strike forces. Armed with a chainsword now, he made quick work of lesser enemies. After 20 years of success, he was inducted into the brotherhood of the cloth, the Black Knight equivalent of the first company. Dressed in dark grey robes and armed with a powersword and storm shield, he became one of the most respected warriors in the chapter.

Connolly joined the Deathwatch after a strike force he was on was ambushed by Dark Eldar, then rescued by intervention by deathwatch Marines. As thanks, he volunteered his service to them.

Appearance: The Black Knights Space Marines have a dark hue to their skin due to a slight mutation in their geneseed. Connolly is no exception, with a brownish tone to his skin. His head is shaved, and his eyes are dark black. His shoulders are also black, with a red trim, and a blood red sword engraved upon them, the symbol of the Black Knights. He wears a corvus helmet, and an aquilla chest plate. His sword is straight, and the hilt is in the shape of a fleur-de-lis, with a ruby pommel stone. His shield is black with red, the crimson blade and a fleur-de-lis upon it.

Yes.

This looks awesome. Definitely interested. Is this going to be played like the majority of our other forum RPG games just through posts?
Although, if it was between this and The Heresy getting back on its feet, I would have to choose Heresy. That has been down for a while though, and with 5-6 this would be easier to handle.

Anyway, sign me up!

"Perhaps Oan should not go, as Kraytor may recognize him from before. We cannot know what reaction he may have, but maybe it is better to be safe than sorry. I would volunteer myself. It has to be either Oan, Zothern, Tybalt, or myself. Tybalt is most vulnerable without his weapon of choice I think. Zothern, no offense but you might not be able to keep a level head. And Oan, we do not know how he will react to seeing you again. That leaves me. I knew Jan'us fairly well, but not as well as Oan. What does everyone think?"
