Lone Chariots???

K. With slaanesh for example you can take a chariot as a dedicated transport for you herald. The thing is I want to join a squad and let my chariot roam free. I heard arguments you can't do so due to chariots always need a rider. Than it hit me that the skull cannon a chariot does not have a rider.

My ideal is to put my hearld in my squads and have my chariot hammer of wrath all over the place. The beautiful part is that it doesn't take up a slot and in a pinch I can always put my herald back in it.
