Formatting Tables for House Rule Units
« on: August 06, 2012, 04:09:08 PM »
Here is a list of BBS code for those of you who want to make your own unit entries in this forum that look similar to those found in Games Workshop's books.  For each entry there is a box of the code (which you can click to copy and then paste) as well as an example of what that code generates in this forum.  With thanks to Narric for taking Wargamer's original designs and updating them to 6th Edition 40k/8th Edition WFB.

Thanks for remaking this topic. The table system looks great when you get it to work, but without templates it can be a nightmare to actually get it to work.
Often I hear delusional ramble like "I painted and collected my army as ultramarine tyranid hunters....but Pedro is really good, so now I'm using him, but I'm just going to call him Jimbob-Fistpumper, cause that fits with my

FAO Wargamer if/when he returns, but shouldn't this be updated to the 6th edition style of Army list entries?

I could post them myself, but I think it would look better if the OP was updated instead.

And for those who create rules but don't like the way copy/paste works on this forum, seriously check these formating codes. It will save to a lot of time trying to clarify everything repeatedly ;)

If you have the tables formatted, wouldn't hurt to post them anyhow. Means there's at least somewhere in the thread they're available, and a Global can if need-be add it into Wargamer's post.

OK then, here is my collection of formating tables for unit entries and Wargear entries for both Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Hopefully this helps budding House Rules writers on the forum ;)

Okay, I've put them in.  Narric, if you don't mind, I've amended your code somewhat to further match the 40k and WFB unit entries.  If you don't like what I've done then let me know and I'll change it to read exactly as your post does.

Unless anyone minds, I'll delete all extra posts in this thread after about a week.

Although, given that you're in Japan now, I suppose that's entirely legit. :shifty:

Don't mind the tables being adjusted. Hopefully we'll see more people posting rules and the like :P
