Competition News!
Exciting times are abound at Contests HQ, and as always we've been super busy making the contests as awesome as possible.

Contest Winners
The Fantasy Unit Contest was won by Yaharrr!!! (TGS) and his fantastic Sepuchral Stalkers - first time I've seen these models, and the paint job on these really makes them stand out.
Also finishing this month was the...er...'Smash A Model' competition. This started as an April Fools joke, but was so popular we decided to run it anyway. We had some hilarious entries in, but the deserved winner was The Man They Call Jayne with his giant K'Nex contraption and a Devilfish. Intrigued? Watch the video here.
Currently Running
Our Spring Slaughter Mega-Contest has had some fantastic entries, and the voting is still open for a few more days, so go have a look at the voting thread and pick your fave - the top three places get some free goodies from Wargaming247.com, so choose wisely!
We've also extended the deadline for our Avatar and Signature Contest - whether you're a Photoshop Pro or Paint is more your style, design a matching Avatar and Signature and show us what you can do here.
New Contests
As always, we've got a huge plethora of new contests starting this month to keep you happy.
A staple of the Contests Calendar, the Troops Contest is your chance to show us your rank and file - from Grots to Gaunts, everyone's got at least one painted troops unit lying around. If you don't - better get started!
A nice and creative one next - Poorhammer is Second Sphere's answer to GW's price hikes. Who needs models? This contest is for budget proxies - the cheaper the better!
Two pipe cleaners and a carrot? No, don't be silly. That's my Carnifex.
Most exciting of all - the return of the much anticipated Second Sphere Super Summer Story Competition! Affectionately known as 5S, this is the second of our seasonal Mega-Contests, and is already shaping up to be better than the first. We've got prizes lined up for it already, so best get writing if you want to be in with a chance of winning something from the wargaming247.com store! This contest is open to a work of fiction between 3,000 and 10,000 words, set in either the 40k or the WHFB universe. We're going to try and get some celebrity judges again for this one, so keep an eye out for further announcements!
If you (for some reason) think that isn't quite enough contests, then we've got one more running this month- but this time it's up to you to choose. Contests On Demand is back, so if you fancy a Finecast contest, or Psykers are more your thing, pop on over there and tell us what you'd like to see.
