Railgun Convention

*Insert plan here*

I'm going to be splitting this into two parts, due to the secretive nature of my character. Rav will be getting the full version, of course, and the rest of you will have to make do with the external version.

White Lion

Stat rolls:
1d8=7, 1d8=5, 1d8=7
Physical: 8
Mental: 8
Mystical: 10
Hitpoints: 16

Character Bio: White Lion is a shadowy mercenary, who keeps his true identity and affiliations hidden. He is usually found working as a guard for whoever is paying enough. Whilst his swordplay skills have made him something of a legend in his adopted hometown of Sueni, his paladin-like acts of protection and phenomenal success rate have earned him even more respect. Wherever your foes may lie, the White Lion will stop them.

Appearance: With his armour, White lion is close to 7' in height. As he almost never removes his armour, few if any know his exact physique, but his abilities suggests a strong, well built man.

White Lion wears a long, thin white cloak, for keeping the sun off of his armour. This armour is an all-encompassing suit of steel plates, which overlap to protect weak spots. The cloak also does a good job of veiling the armour, and covers up his pack; only his slit-eyed rounded helmet sticks out. When the cloak is left open, which usually only occurs during fights, the full extent of the armour is revealed. White Lion also carries a large Flambard, or flame sword; when placed on the ground, the hilt reaches past his elbows. Its waved edge will often throw off attackers if parried, leaving them open to counterstrikes.

Equipment:
Heavy Plate Armour: Covers the White Lion's entire body. Rarely, if ever, removed.
Flambard: The White Lion's signature weapon. A wave-edged greatsword that measures about 4'6" in total length, with a diamond-eyed lion's face on the hilt. Two-handed weapon.
Rikashi Composite Bow: A gift from a highly impressed previous client. If the enemy will not come to the Lion, the Lion will come to the enemy. Also a quiver with 30 arrows. Usually slung across his pack when not in use.
So how many crashes have I survived now?

The Man They Call Jayne

You're the Tank then. Once I have decided on how easy I want my skill to be to roll for I will know how effective I will be in combat. Also mean I get easier to kill though.

El ShasOcho

I sense I am going to be a bit of a paper cannon, very deadly but also not particularly tough. Hopefully will survive based on agility and ability to make friends  ;D

I am trying to decide now between having the scimitar I have right now, or getting a staff with a blade on the end of it. Called a naginata I think, comes from japan but could work in this world. Cool thing about the naginata is it can double as a mage staff, and I can still probably do some type of whirling death thing if I put another smaller blade on the other side.

What do people think would be cooler?

Although, it must be said, one should always have a Fantasy in

Both? :P

I'd say the scimitar if you can't have both, since i just don't see the naginata working well as a staff. Also, I think a scimitar looks better than a naginata when they're on fire.

El ShasOcho

I suppose both could work, I would probably make the naginata more of a standard staff that has a blade on it. Probably would have it be a bit shorter, so it could be a bit easier to handle. And perhaps a gemstone for channeling essence. I would maybe drop the bow then, or the warrior knife.

Edit: Also, we don't have a healer do we? My guess is the desert is not going to be exactly the most forgiving place, so we might want someone who can keep us at full strength.

I may change my character to a healer if we don't get one soon. I had considered one anyway, the only reason I took Dreylan was because I wanted to blow stuff up ;)

Vyper

If you want, I could become part healer, using fieldcraft knowledge etc. We do seem to have an abundance of solely destructive characters... :P

InsaneTD

Well Tarrik should have medical knowledge, mostly first aid. If I add a healing kit to my equipment, I can at least keep people alive until a mage can be found.

Ravager Zero

Right, so everyone who has posted a character so far (and/or PMd one to me) is in.
This post will collect stats and equipment for future reference.

...and whipped cream, a bottle of baileys, seven pairs of non-matching shoes, a combine harvester, a box of matches, and three indie rock bands drunk off their skull is technically acceptable on private property.

Vyper

Here are Prae'tor's drives:

Trueborn Hunter: Prae'tor's skills come naturally to him as walking or breathing do to anyone. His skill with a bow is more or less unmatched. He is also able to track animals and people with remarkable accuracy, using their footprints or debris for example.

Ranger of the Wastes: During his years of travelling, Prae'tor has furthered his knowledge of medicine and fieldcraft. He has picked up many different techniques and remedies, at times asking for training in the art of healing over material payment. As such, he is capable of treating many injuries from simple cuts, to poisoning and the odd broken bone.

Hope they're ok. :)

Edit: Transposed onto char post.

Mabbz

Due to a distinct lack of healers (aside from Prae'tor's abilities as a field medic) I am going to change my character slightly. I can't be bothered to make a whole new one, so I'm simply going to replace Dreylan's necromancy with moonsinging. I'll alter my character post now.

The Man They Call Jayne

So whats the quest goal here? is it more deamon hunting, or will there be a seperate goal that will affect E,TD depending on how well we accomplish it?

InsaneTD

I beleive we are hunting men. Ones that don't like talking it seems. Haven't you read what Rav posted here and in the Spam GED Thread?

The Man They Call Jayne

I had, although that single paragraph seemed to slip my mind.

Will's on Fire

Terrain Specialist: Zaag knows his way around a landscape. He is able to not only track, but also create shelter in all but the most extreme landscape.

Don't shoot the messenger: Thanks to many years of delivering messages to the outposts of his tribes land, Zaag has learnt a way with words. He has learnt, not only how to calm a situation if the need arises, but also how to rile someone with his words.

Hope they're okay. :D

I know what you mean about a lack of healers, as my D&D group has no healers... it makes for an interesting game to say the least. :P
