Well without some manual safeguards being disengaged, the FTL drive won't work. The safeguards were implemented because the developers thought the crew would have time from launch to reaching beyond Luna orbit to do final calibrations in a timely manner, while also ensuring the drives couldn't be activated without proper intent in a situation like you're in now.
As it stands now, you need the drive and calibrations will have to be done on the fly where needed. Not impossible, but it does have a high probability of being hazardous in an unpredictable fashion. You could punch a whole into an alternate universe, shred the ship apart at the atomic level, or simply just blink yourself to the other side of the planet (which would have you hovering right over GRW controlled landmass, jsyk
