How was the bluff check done? I thought about a Charisma stat - would that be Magic or Intelligence? Also, for whom were the dice rolled? 10 means a success I'm guessing, but doesn't 1 mean I bucked it up?

As tempting as it is to have you all have to go back for it now, yes, you did take all your stuff with you.
well I was going to post about going back to get it the day the forum went out

As a rule, bluffing depends on the intelligence of the character you are trying to fool. The dice roll was an intelligence test and the 10 was a failure in this case (modifiers were involved).

It's because Backlash's so damn cute ain't it?  ;)
Sure, we'll go with that :shifty:

* Mabbz reads Hector's latest RP post.

So, to be clear: you are attempting to trick a pony clever enough to be involved in the theft of arguably the most valuable items in the world from some of the most powerful creatures in the world by claiming to be so obsessed with a softcore porn magazine that you broke into a warehouse to get it? And your effectively also claiming to have somehow convinced somepony else to help you with that? I think I'll have to roll some more bluff checks probably with something like a -100 modifier for ridiculousness and a +100 modifier for being so stupid that no one would ever try to lie about it. I'll post something when I work out the exact rolls I'm going to have to do.

Also I'd rather wait to see if Anna has something to say at this point (or just stares in disbelief; you can post in character without actually having your character do something). If PrimeNumber doesn't post in the next day or so I'll assume he's not going to.

I never said Backlash was sane.
Neither did I. That said, the "no one would be that nuts" approach would probably be quite effective when used on someone that's worried about being caught by the royal guard. Maybe Backlash actually is sane, if slightly unorthodox.

PrimeNumber

Uh, mabbz, I was caught and tackled on the floor, I can't really react...

Mabbz

You were half led, half dragged into the warehouse by Cloud Storage. The four of you are now together :)

Mabbz

Your mission is complete. It wasn't a stunning success, but it wasn't a complete failure. While you somehow managed to bluff your way out of the situation, you didn't get any particularly useful information either, aside from the contents of the diary (which is written in shorthoof and might have something helpful in it, or it might be useless. Hazy might be able to tell you more). All things considered, that could have gone a whole lot worse.

Also I just realized that the three NPC's I've introduced so far (Cloud, Fog and Hazy) all seem to be following a theme with there names names. Weird.

Mabbz

So... what are you going to do now? Head back to the safe house? Try to find Hazy? Hide somewhere and try to sneak back in? Laugh about your miraculous escape?

Waaaghpower

Just got caught up on what has been happening...
Wow.
So is Backlash a Filly Fiddler than?
Super Mario 3D World is The. Best. Thing.

I didn't particularly feel like explicitly setting up her sexuality in her backstory, because she's supposed to be chaotic. Whatever works, works, and she doesn't question it. Playcolt's probably pretty high-quality anyway. Sexuality is just another one of those things - like words - that can be used to her advantage. It's not set in stone at all.

I'm not sure if I'm going to try and flirt my way out. On one hand it would be hilarious, on the other I don't think Backlash would actually do that. We'll see tomorrow...
