I assume that the magical laws are what control the musical aspects in the universe, a-la Buffy the Vampire Slayer style. (Minus the negative aspects.) So everypony has rhymes come to them without effort, dance moves are involuntary (As long as the song is going), magical music plays, and we only have vague control of when the music starts or ends.
(And, that everyone is aware of how it works and when it happens, but can't control it.)

yeah i've been up since early as shit sooo i'm gonna have to post my part be it singing or not being in range of the song's magic (I aint decided yet) tomorrow morning especially as I can't carry a tune with a bucket a forklift and a team of movers. so if somepony else has another round in them go for it plumber probobly won't hear you over his weeping anyway

Yeah, I always figured random musical numbers to be part of the innate positive magic of the world. That's why you never see them in Fallout: Equestria; all the positive magic is long gone! yaaaaay

Just so you all know, Hazy's staying out of this whole thing. He's kinda meant to be a bit of an introvert and this is way beyond him. Besides, this is your story and I don't think the GMPC should get involved. Also I can't think of what to write.

i'm glad no one's actually sick of plumber OOC it's kind of weird seeing him develop this way rather than how I usually use him and I'd hate to have him drive everyone nuts.

I'm not sick of him, but I do feel it'd be best for the story if this whole thing was resolved one way or another.

Fun fact, one reason I suggested a training session was to give everyone a small stat boost (sorry Waaaghpower, excluding Thunder was an in character decision).

Sound's reasonable to me. Let's go with that. With one extra rule based on a fanfic I read; if a pony sings something that was clearly intended to be a secret (for example, declaring undying love for somepony) then it is considered hugely impolite to talk about it. You're supposed to ignore it and move on as though nothing happened.

Also: Mabbz, how much of a stat boost were you going to give them for half a day of sparring? Because really, that's *nothing* in terms of training... (As Thunder pointed out.)

A very small one. One point in a single stat of your choice. I know half a day of training shouldn't really give you anything, but it also takes into account experience from the last several days (did this adventure really only start 3-4 days ago?). Besides, what fun is an RP without tangible character development?

Also, don't complain about free stat points. I might decide to take them away

Hazy is standing, like, *Right There* while this argument us going on. Mayhaps a certain pony should join the singalong?

I would join in (I did do a bit in the last song), but I can't think of any lyrics. Feel free to use him as a backing singer if you want though. Or even write him his own verse. Or duet. Or snazzy dance number. Or use his illusion magic to make special effects.
