A small force themed around psychological warfare that specialises in infiltration, evasion, illusion and generally psyching-out the enemy. The low model count and fragile units will probably make this a real glass cannon which will need to rely on cover, intelligent deployment and manoeuvring. My thoughts on how the force could be used are below, bear in mind I am not particularly familiar with 6th Ed (I never thought I'd need to get another intro game at GW but it may be in order!).

  • By using cover, their defensive abilities and the Farseer's powers, the Scorpions and Harlies will close with the enemy. Both have embedded anti-armour weaponry to utilise if necessary. It makes sense to me to send the faster Harlies to tie up any ranged units that pose a risk to your Scorpions, whilst sending Scorpions after the juicy targets.
  • The Farseer can double as a rear-guard/counter charge unit.
  • The Rangers will likely be a low-priority target, so can go for objectives or pin advancing infantry units.
  • The Wraithfighter was added purely for badassery and because it fit with the theme, but it would probably be used to soften up targets that are going to be charged, or for taking out heavy weapon squads. If you delay sending it in for a turn, the enemy may be prioritising taking out your advancing troops so you can send it in with less fear of it being shot down. Alternatively you could wait until any units that pose a threat to it are tied up in combat before attacking with it.
  • The four Dark Reapers will stay as far out of harms way as possible whilst providing anti-armour support.
Nothing in this force is particularly redundant, which could make it tougher for the enemy to decide on a target. On the other hand it means you can't afford to loose many models!

I like the theme but as you've said it will be hard to get the best out of it. Im not really sure the Dark Reapers do enough for the amount of points they are costing. Id consider a Shadow Weaver as I think something that causes pinning like that and is literally raining death from the skies in a pretty horrific way really fits the theme, its also much harder to kill and fulfils multiple roles in terms of what its effective against.

It's a great list from the point of view of theme.  It would make for a superb Alaitoc infiltration force for carrying out quick strikes to disrupt the opposition before disappearing back into the webway.

In terms of combat effectiveness though I'm very dubious.  Rangers don't reliably pin very much, Harlequins are extremely brittle, and assault units in general are not very easy to use well for the Eldar these days.  That said, on a table with a lot of cover, and against opposing armies lacking in long ranged fire power you might pull off a surprise or two.

Just use it as it is, and let us know how it goes.
