Dungeon Map
You find yourself in a rectangular room. To your left is a door on the east-wall in the north-eastern corner. On the South-wall, there is a door in the south-western corner. In the other two corners there are strange piles of junk. Perhaps this dungeon HAS been explored before. But if so, why has no-one ever mentioned it?
The floor is also strange. It seems to be divided into six equally sized squares. When the party notice this strange fact, they feel compelled to stand on a separate square each.
You hear scratching, but you're not sure which direction it is coming from.

What will you do?

Railgun Convention

Greg moves to examine the piles of junk, wondering if there will be anything interesting to augment his existing gear.
So how many crashes have I survived now?

The Man They Call Jayne

Ozkar moved to examine the other pile of junk. One thing he did know was that dungeon crawling required lots of gear. He also knew there would be traps somwhere. Keeping a careful eye out, he moved cautiously, prodding at the heap with his mage staff.

Kira decided to ignore the piles of junk. There was unlikely to be anything interesting this close to the entrance. Moving to the eastern door, she cautiously tried to open it.

Greg pulled apart the dusty pile of useless rags and broken wood. it wasn't too long until he heard a clanging and scrap of metal against stone. following the noise, he picked up a Small Shield. It seemed to be mundane, with the "smithed by: " signature ground off.

As Ozkar poke at the barrels, he heard a small screeh. A rat of normal proportions peeked out, and ran for the door to the north-east, quickly squesing through a gap at the bottom. With this little tip-bit of excitement, Ozkar leaned forward, examine the contents of the now open barrel. to his surprise, he saw a bundle of bolts at the bottom.

As Kira opens the door, noises of clicking and hissing begin to steadily rise. Once the door is open, the light from the entrance spills into the corridor, and shines of a moving surface.
It is a Drider! Its roughly 5' in height, but its legs are not fully stretched out. Its is hunched over, carrying what looks like a Crossbow. Without warning, it fires the crossbow at Kira, the bolt becoming firmly embedded in the door frame. Obviously its aim isn't something to worry about.

Railgun Convention

With his own shield rendering the new find obsolete, Greg leaves it on top of the pile in case someone else should want it. With the eastern door to the entrance room firmly occupied, he moves to the southern door, raises his shield, and cautiously prods it open.
So how many crashes have I survived now?

Ozkar pocketed the bolts, he figured they may come in handy in future, and at the very least could be used as something to pin things to things. Looking around at the new arrival he added "or be put in that crossbow after we kill that Drider." to his mental list.

A threat to be dealt with.

He raised his hand and focuses on the loose rocks and stones strewn about the room. Fine ammunition. Drawing his hand back then thrusting it forward sent a tightly clustered volley of rock past Kira and into the Drider.

Flinching slightly at the rocks whizzing past her head, Kira calmly snapped off a shot with her crossbow. She saw the bolt thud into the creature before moving to the side of the door. No sense in risking being hit.

The Drider is easily dispatched by the skilled warriors, falling to the ground in a heap in the middle of the hallway.
With the threat dealt with, your can take stock of the hallway itself. It seems to split at end in opposite directions. You can see much further down each corridor from where you are.

The south door opens without issue for Greg. IT opens to a short corridor, with no real identifiable features. At the end of the corridor, is a door leading West.

The Man They Call Jayne

Ozkar looted the corpse, mainly to see if the crossbow was of any use. If it was then it would be a nice boon to the group, although Kira should probably be the one to use it. Also, any gems or potions would be nice as well.

Railgun Convention

Greg moved to join the other two - it'd be more sensible to move as a group, especially seeing as the other two were relatively fragile. He entered the eastern corridor and cautiously peered around the corners.

The Man They Call Jayne

Ozkar followed behind, he was no coward but he was pragmatic. If someone else could take the shot in the chest rather than him, he was all for it. He still had his staff at the ready though. A hail of rocks would greet the first thing to threaten them and if that didn't work, DT was waiting.

Kira allowed Greg to move in front, but made sure to stay close behind him. She had to be ready to claim any loot, after all. And back up Greg in combat, she supposed.

Shifting through the remains of the Drider, Ozkar finds the Crossbow. In the attack, it was broken. Before Ozkar has a chance to ask Kira if it can be repaired, a strange wind blows through the the cracks of the dungeon, and the Crossbow turns to dust. Several parts of the Drider itself also turn, but large sections of its Chitinous body remain. The material is clearly organic, and slightly flexible. Perhaps there is someone who can use this to create armour?

As the party re-orders itself in the Dungeon, Greg moves to the front and sees further through the corridors. To either side of him are two doors. One Leads South, the other North.

In the first chamber, scratching can still be heard from an indeterminate direction.

The Man They Call Jayne

With the sections of the armour to be in his bag Ozkar still had a few bits that wouldn't fit properly. "Does either of you want to help carry this stuff? I think we can make some kind of armour out of it. Seems pretty sturdy."
