Same makers of Rome Total War has snatched up rights to the game version of Warhammer Fantasy.

Sooo.... we are going to get a reskin of a total war game. Meh.

Maybe... Maybe not. I doubt a completely unrestricted Warhammer total war would be done as it removes a need to buy the figures, fun as it would be. GW have been jumpy enough about Vassal, as I recall, and that's hardly a mainstream "front page on Steam" program. If forced to predict, I'd go for a limited-roster scripted battle game like Horned Rat or Mark of Chaos, the mentioned mordheim option (out of print, a wave to the fans, small and manageable (like space hulk & BB) with plenty of DLC options for new warbands, CA's current weapon of choice) or - from CA's past - a Total Warrior style hack-em-up.
