QuoteI am more making the comment about the fact that they exist at all. Why do we need a book telling us the rules for Chainfists? They are in the main book already, anything else inthere is just fluff about just a specific weapon system. They don't need to exist.

No rules, just fluff. Research what you hate before you hate it.

Why do they exist? Because people buy them. Why do people buy them? Because people like them.

Does it need to be anything more than that?

How about this:

Why do I need to pay £0.99 to £12 for fluff about a weapon system? Let alone an individual weapon system per purchase?

It would have made more sense to sell a full book on the technology and tech-fluff in a real book, such as the Imperial Guard Primer. While making shorter books for Kindles and the like does make sense, it is something I would have expected AFTER a full book has been released.

I can't deny that some people will buy them, but I can not agree with them being sold individually.

While I would love a book detailing how the Tau weaponry and Armour works, as well as all the other technology, I dunno if we'd get it as some sort of compendium. Seems logical, but GW isn't logical.

On this we can agree on :P

The Man They Call Jayne

If it were one big book, I would be very tempted myself. It just the pay per weapon nature of it that bugs me.

His fail is always spelling, and grammer. Verbally he has a fine grip of the queens English, but ask him to write it down and hes like Iron Man in a magnet factory.

There are compendiums of them. I like the little ones better in actuality, but the big ones exist, and are comparably a deal.

I've just taken another look at the new site and I cannot for the life of me locate anything in the way of FAQs or Errata. This looks like a massive, glaring oversight on GW's side and I hope they make those available somewhere soon.

Will's on Fire

Yep they're currently not there. Like specialist games.

Near anything for the Specialist games was gone from the site before the update. They're basically just made it clear they won't contiue them at all.

[edit]
Just a question, can anyone with an account still access it? I can't access mine.

It states that any accounts for the old webstore don't carry over, you've lost anything that may have been on there and you need to make a new one.

Narric

Ah, ok :P

Not sure if I will though. Mostly used it for saving my cart. Nowadays I just browse GW, then hop over to TW and compare prices :P
Only thing I'd be buying from GW are the upgrade packs. So many lovely options for conversions there ^_^

GW have stated that they will be putting those up on the site, but the site is still a work in progress. I was mildly worried about that as well.

Faq/errata on the black library site I believe.
