Before clicking the link, I was just thinking of the most polite way to say it must just be some conversion one of the Studio dudes did and it accidentally made it into the shot.

Now......

Hucking Fell, I do hope I still have my Glade Guard and other Wood Elf models.

Cammerz

Some very nice looking models there, about time Wood Elves got themselves an update.

GW have become very good at keeping secrets nowadays, we used to know about things at least a month in advance but now we're lucky if we find out a full week before the White Dwarf.

Deraj

Thank god it looks like glade guard are getting updated, their models are the whole reason I quit playing wood elves.

Narric

What is/was wrong with the Glade guard? Also, they look more like Eternal guard to me.

salamut2202

So this updates all of the elves. Cool way to do it too.

The heads always bothered me. The waist joint also came across wrong to me.

Cammerz

Well they're up for Advance order and boy do those Treemen look amazing.

They're accompanied by a new Army Book and some chap called Araloth (who I presume has rules in White Dwarf) but for now that is all.

So accordin to GW, Trees have beards, and weave their crotch hair into tabards :P

Well, only the Ancient ones, the regular guy doesn't have a beard and his tabard is made of bark (probably, I'm not a botanist);

Whilst Durthu the special character uses ivy with additional skulls because he's the fashionable one;

Jonagon

nice looking models and the paintjob on the treeman seems to above GW's usual standard to me.

Will's on Fire

I'm not sure if I like the more humanoid look of the treemen or not. Definitely a very nice model. The sword is very cool.

Very interested in this release, some of my favourite conversions/paintjobs/modelling/themed army has been done with WElves.

They look more like some forest daemon to me than Treemen.  The new sculpt certainly doesn't fit how I've always envisaged them.  Still, I don't play Wood Elves, so it's not a major issue for me.
Soñando con una playa donde brilla el sol, un arco iris ilumina el cielo, y el mar espejea iridescentemente

The whole tree demon concept fits completely with my vision of wood elves. Tree spirits to me are savagery incarnate, not wise, slow treemen from LotR. I really like how the model comes across.

When you say it like that, it works with the Dryads fluff, who iirc are viscious spirits.
