They go thusly.

Roll 2D20.
Compare the first to your Mystical stat. If the roll is equal or higher, your spell worked.
The second D20 determines the effectiveness of your healing.
1: 1 HP
2-5: D4 HP
6-10: D6 HP
11-15: D8 HP
16-19: D12 HP
20: D20 HP

If your first roll was at least 5 points higher than your Mystical stat, roll 2DX on the above chart, taking the highest roll for healing amount.
