New Design Citadel Cases

What are peoples thoughts on the new case design?

I'm personally not sold on the new foam trays. It looks like you get a third les models per tray, and the skirmish case seems to only have space for two.

I'll probably poke my Local GW store, especially if they have one in stock. My old case currently has no foam and is used for document storage presently

Id half expect to open it up and see a pair of uzis in the foam! Looks pretty cool
I think the new  foam wont protect models as well, (if you put a line of metal models in a row..) but GW plan to move all production to plastic kits and digital sculpting by the end of next year anyway - so they are inkeeping with that!

Its amazing the price hasnt gone up much in the last 10 years or so. I brought a case in like... 2004 for £30 and they are still the same price for the small ones.

I'm just concerned they've reduced the effective storage per tray. Before, you knew you could fit roughl 40 to 50 models in your case. GW hasn't given a number for how many models the trays can protect. 

When we find out how many models can be safely carried, then we'll know it the price is reasonable. In my opinion.

Previous foam trays had space for 36 infantry models. Based on the pictures, I estimate these trays to fit ~46 models. That said, it does look like you only get two per Skirmish case, not the three you got in the equivalent old cases, so they hold about 16 fewer models. Of course, the different tray might be able to hold more, if you don't mind squashing th models together somewhat, so it's hard to say without seeing them side by side in real life.

All of which is irrelevant to me, since I already have three small cases and one large and don't need more. Still, it is nice to see the prices haven't gone up.

I think I'm going to buy one of the crusade or the smaller size cases for sure!
