Title: The Manipulators' Elite [Chaos][2000pts][Take on All]

I have three Emperium and Allies army lists in my inbox , and this makes my inner Chaos Marines rage.
I also wanted to make a highly "Elite" army list that tries to focus on mass destruction with fewer models. Mostly for a bit of a challenge, but also for when I do manage to do an Artscale Chaos Marine army, I can work to an army list for an effective force.

Without further pre-amble, here is the list.

Battle plan
The Manipulator and Kharn footslog*. The Manipulator, as my Warlord, primarily using the Burning Brand before using whatever Psychic Powers he rolls. Kharn is just Kharn. I point at a Target and he kills it :P
The Khorne Berzerkers start mounted up, and the Rhino gets them as close as possible, firing Soul Blaze Bolter rounds like mad.
The 1k Sons and Tzeentch Marines Start Footslogging, with their transports rolling around and doing general enemy harassment due to Soul Blaze and Destroyer Blades.
The Heldrakes and Maulerfiends target enemy infantry and Vehicles respectively.
The Vindicator is there for some heavy hitting pie plates. Maybe for anti-fortification, or horde blasting.

*part hindsight part reasoning. I didn't want to lump Kharn in with the Zerkers as I don't want him killing them :P

I did originally include a large blog of Cultists for Deployment zone bunkering, but dropped them as it didn't feel right in the context of the list, and I didn't feel like working on a blog of 35 near identical models anyway :P

So what do you guys think?What can be improved? what should I not bother including?

I think you need to really cut down those Rhinos. They should really not be shooting at all and just charging at the enemy as quick as they can, id shave points off them and add in more Thousand Sons to that squad. Then just rush their and the Bezerkers Rhinos right up the table turn 1, popping smoke to unload in enemy lines [the Sons for the rapid firing bolters].

I think Kharn is a bit of a waste of points here, especially if he is footslogging. If you really want him just put him with the Bezerkers but when they get out of the Rhino split him from the squad so he can charge something else. Ideally you actually want you Rhinos to be destroyed once they have rushed turn 1 and are in enemy lines so that you can then charge.

Im not sure on that last Marine squad either, not think another cult unit would be better?

If you did drop Kharn you could throw in another Helldrake :P

Maybe double up the 1k Sons? I think I'll add the Icon of Flames to the units, for burning fun ;)

I probably didn't fully explain my idea for the Rhinos. They get the units close, and then start Tank Shocking. With Destroyer Blades they're going to soften most enemy units up, in addition, if I charge a unit that was Tank Shocked, the enemy unit can Overwatch due to Dirge Casters. The Combi-Bolters were mostly to inflict damage regularly, to soften enemy units more so.

I can see what you mean with Kharn. Maybe replace him with a cheap Khorne Lord and join to the Zerkers?

Changes:
- Cheap-ass Khorne Lord for Enemy Character Killing, and just for anti-Infantry.
- Tzeentch Marines replaced with second unit of 1k Sons. Kept them at 7 bodies, as it just feels right somehow........
- Rhinos and Vindicator have lost their Gargoyles and Combi-bolters. Much cheapness :P
- Unit of Chosen added in for Anti-Infantry and Anti-Tank. Also for general mess cleaning :P Wish Chosen still had Infiltrate, by ah well.... Fluffily speaking, they're kiind of groupies for the Burning Brand :P They're led by a Former World Eater Marine who managed to not undergo forced lobotomy :P He's clever like that ^_^

Whats the thoughts on the new list?




Due to the model not working with the Wings I had, so I've change "The Manipulator." He now has a Sigil of Corruption and Ichor Blood, meaning 3+/++ and some potential extra damage in Combat.

Still comes in at the same price.

I think its a ridiculously survivable character now :P

Another thing I've noticed is that this list can use a double FOC. So I could drop the DoS and Vindi, for two more Maulerfiends and another Psyker Mastery Level to my Sorcerer. Not sureif I should however, as I like keeping to a single FOC.
