I think on the large plastic kits, the assembly instructions are quite good, so if you follow that, you should be OK with the ol' plastic glue.

Aside from the basics, on these large kits it would likely be easy to use some small earth magnets to magnetize the weapons. That way you can swap around your weapons to find the right playstyle for you :)

Most importantly - be sure to post pictures! ;)

I think my Local forbidden Planet still has stock of certain FFG games.... Hey Thantos, if theres a copy of Dark Heresy there, should I pick it up and send it to you? :P ;)

That would be cool! I can paypal ya back for it. 2nd edition please :D

No guitars were harmed in the making of MT's conversions? ;)
Love that mega tech marine especially.

Eisenhorn is a neat rarity!
Reminds me how I was going to try shrinking a 54mm inquisitor mini down to 28mm (which chaos magics!) which may or may not look cool xD

So many great things in the bitz box chest of drawers!

Will be getting this in a few months when things at work settle down a bit :D I loved the Homeworld games, so 40k style space combat sounds like a big winner to me!
Happy crusading!

For me, I looked at it and thought, "Huh, £40?  I probably won't be picking that up."  Then I get an email from Warhammer Digital telling me that because I own a digital copy of the current edition of Kill Team (that I picked up whilst I was still living in Japan) I'll get it updated to the new edition for free come September 3rd.

'Twas a pleasant surprise.

Wait?! Wha-? .. Free? Somebody slap me coz i must be dreaming :P Since how long ago was it since GW did free stuff?

I liked kill team, small band of highly converted unique models all with a theme? What's not to love? A refreshing change from spamming the table top with too many models.

And glad WD is back to monthly, but I agree with Irisado and Narric - it needs to devolve back into the friendly hobby magazine with conversions, fiction, good battle reps and cool project ideas.

As opposed to a general ... "Look at this new model!!! It's frakkin' awesome on the battlefield, you should buy one!! Buy one NOW! What is better than 1 of these new awesome models? ... TWO of these new awesome models, of course!!"

If you are getting serious about decals and want them to sit flat and look "painted on" get some micro sol - softens them and makes them sit flat properly

And matt varnish over the top, job done
Definitely get Sorck to print you some custom ones, that thunderhawk needs love ;D

Sounds like some cool stuff, *runs hands together, Fagin style* i think once this thread has run its course, your next step will be to open a Trading thread? ;)

Reminding me of the old style battle reports in the White Dwarf in the 2004 era now :D Looks great, get the battle going ;)
You play with vassal or with minis and use vassal for the BR?

Cant comment much on rules, but the space marine with a bow irks me.

Armour like that to reduce mobility so unable to pull a bow correctly?
Helmet with small eye holes to reduce visibility so you cant see what you are shooting at?
Should be BS1 :P

These holy warriors of sigmar are too close to Space marines, GW know SMs sell well, so now they have SMs in fantasy and an excuse to rewrite the world's fluff to focus around them. Shameless :-\ it's probably a good business decision for them (or they think so at least) but its just sad to see 30 years of fluff trampled on to make way for some shiny new boxed sets that 11 year old kids will buy more of.

I do like the models for both sides so far, but they are not inkeeping with the style or fluff I associate with warhammer fantasy.

Yea water based acrylic. You can mix with GW if you want and they wash of brushes fine.

News, Rumours and Trading / Ad-Mech Army Released
« on: March 31, 2015, 12:33:54 PM »

Wonderful! Im very happy that GW are releasing something that expands the 40k universe again, rather than just another non-fluffy out of place marine flyer or unit that should never exist.
Love these models and i cant wait to see what other units are in the army. Combined with the FW pieces, could be a nice force!
