Introduce Yourself / Re: Hello hello hello

Good to see your familiar faces still around. I have to admit since using Facebook I've pretty much stopped going to forums. Just post my conversions up there and chat with other gamers. Looking forward to seeing you guys in cyberspace.

Introduce Yourself / Hello hello hello

Hey guys. Came around to see who is still posting. I still remember the night when TO was taken from us and we created this place. Miss you all and I've recently started using Facebook and I'd love to reconnect. Shoot me a pm and I'll tell you my real name. Dun dun dun.

Still keeping busy with 40k, though I rarely play. Mostly just increasing the size of my Wamp Gataz army. I'm in the middle of converting koptas to hover warbikers. Finally finished painting my battlewagon too. Hope to hear from you guys!

Looted panzer wagon looks good. I think it needs more battle damage and some weathering but it still looks great.

For the hind I'd just make it into a flyer and magnetize all the weapons so you can use it like whatever you want. I can take off the bombs and one gw on my flyer and I need to make some missiles for it. You could also clip it's wings and use it as a battlewagon.

The hind was my inspiration for one of my koptas.

I got my set in the mail the other day. I read through the campaign book and really enjoyed it. The missions in the book follow the narrative in the book and let players reenact the story. It has rules for all the units in the set as well as stats for all the weapons. It is a great starter set for people getting into the hobby or vets that need extra minis.

I mainly got mine for the mini rulebook, as I can't see forking over $85 for rules when I've already spent so much on each codex. I'll keep the Ork stuff and Ebay the wolves. (If anyone wants them pm me). The fact that they aren't snap fit and just the regular units is awesome. So many bits.

Also at the end they show the cover of the next Ork supplement; speed freaks so I'll be happy and poor.

Forces and Allies of the Imperium / Re: Concerning Necrons

My regular opponent fields Necrons, and we just had a game last weekend, also in 6th cause we can't afford 7th yet.

Annihilation barges shoot a lot and are armor 13 because of quantum shielding, same goes for arks. Fusion suits dropping in behind with target locks are good for taking them out if they bunch up. My Orks have a tough time getting through that armor.

Treat wraiths like assault marines. They are fast and Killy in hand to hand. They have a 3++ save so take them out with weight of fire not low ap guns. They will murder any Tau units if they reach combat.

With footsloggers concentrate all your fire on one unit until it is gone. My dakkajet gunned down 10 warriors and them 7 stood back up. Which really sucked for the trukk boys about to charge in that got hosed with gauss fire in overwatch.

Well you've been busy. All the stuff looks great, your skills are defiantly improving. Next time I need a new unit I'll check out your store.

Few too many Teef for me, though I can't remember the last time I bought an Ork unit. Overall I think it looks better now but I don't really like the train plow on the front. Think if I got one I'd just make an assault ramp that drops down like on my battlewagon. For the money I'd probably but the megadread and just figure out a way to make it transport Orks. My wife bought me an arm a couple years ago thinking that was all I needed.

I don't have the book yet but on BOLS someone said the restrictions to Apoc allies is that they have to deploy 12" apart. I could put my daemons far away from the guardsman. That or I could take a bunch of psyker s and summon my daemons.

I agree Sal, they could really use a Warboss kit like that full of options.

Can't wait for the new codex and I've put off building/converting things until then. I hope they don't wipe out any units, just modify them and give us some new toys.

Not too keen on the gaurganaut so far but I've only seen the one WD pic.

Annoying that to play my almost finished traitor guard army I have to play unbound now. Not sure why they got rid of that alliance, since there is so much fluff behind it.

Are your tankbustas and flash glitz walking around? When I take them I always mount them in either a battlewagon or looted wagon. Otherwise looks like fun. Easiest way to remember what happened for a battrep is to take pics. Reminds you what happened and I looks cool to actually see the armies from the stories.

I agree with Bigtoof, I really don't see unbound as a problem at all. I don't play with any WAAC players now so I'm sure that wont change with the alternate FOC. I think it does open the door for some cool lists that won't take an entire day to play. Apoc was always a pain cause I could never devote the proper amount of time for a game. Now I can run tons of fast attack options along with my trukks and battlewagon. It won't be overpowered just cool.

I'm also waiting to see how the whole summoning thing works. Would be cool for a psyker in my Traitor Guard army to open a portal to the warp, or be torn apart as he morphs into a daemon.

Check out this guy on youtube, helped me convert my Nurgle herald.

Here is what I came up with after watching the video.

Considering I've never done green stuff work I think he came out great, and it wasn't really that hard to do. The youtube guy has a few good videos too.

Love me some traitor guard. Those oblit conversions are great too. Have you ever done any greenstuff? I feel like the Chaos stuff could use some boils and growth.

I can see some really cool unbound armies but only of someone cool is playing them. You know the D bags will bring, d bag list and the cool guys will bring fun lists. I just don't play D bags, and I still won't.
