Flesh hounds of Khorne???

I used them and seen them used in battle reports and not too overly impressed on how good they are.

Even worst I fail to see why the need for players to use Karanak with the squad.

I am not sayin it's bad, but if a player has good shooting and combat they seem to be a waste of points.

They good for tying up units yes, but taking like 60 seems not a viable option.

First off they are still rather exepensive when taken i n large numbers. Unless you put a hearld in the squad they lack real bite.

I noticed purifiers and the psychic wall of fire hurt them a lot. Same goes for new Tau.

I can see taking one as a distraction, but I think 2 squads is a bit much and 3 is even worst.

If you wipe out those 3 squads the daemon player is all out of steam. If he's running a blood thirster it's even worst since now in like a 1850 list you have 300 points to spare on troops.

Without some sort of support and decent amout of troops your whole plan is to win by weight of numbers. Terminators are bad news for the hounds since powerfist instant kill them. Heck Grey knights rejoice for such an easy victory.

I think running tem with seekers or plague flies is not a bad ideal. The other problem I have with them is no icons. I can take I cons on the flies which makes the flies so much better than the hounds in my opinion.

I agree with you, with better options out there flesh hounds have been phased out of my Khornate daemons list. Karanak is decent in a unit of Bloodcrushers.

But yes, they seem to be tie up unit. But hell chaos furies can do that job cheaper

funny that i just talked about furies earlier today. today I used them in a full 20 a can see their uses. i still think more than 20 is dumb though. With the right placement you can push  and flank a side really hard. with deamonettes and a grinder following up they did rather good.
